El Campanario is a colonia in Jiutepec, close to another colonia where we have a project – 28th de Agosto. Both of these areas are categorized as extremely poor. Although things have improved here since VAMOS! started in these towns, the area remains rural, rugged and very poor. With strong support form the local government, this center has our highest daily attendance with more than 180 children and women arriving each day! Lots of students from teens to pre schoolers, and lots of moms who hang their crafts on the fence by the road to display for sale. We are very thankful to the community to allow us to use this land at no cost.
