VAMOS! partners with several organizations in a variety of ways. We are very thankful for all of the support that these organizations have given to VAMOS! throughout the years.
Every Dollar Feeds Kids (EDFK) was founded in 1999 by the First Congregational Church of San Rafael, California and works cooperatively with VAMOS! EDFK provides the food for many of the feeding programs within the VAMOS! network. We are very thankful for their steady generosity throughout the years.
The mission of Every Dollar Feeds Kids (EDFK) in Southington, Connecticut is to express God’s Love through food so children in poverty can learn, develop self-respect and thrive. Every dollar contributed to or raised by EDFK goes directly and immediately to feeding hungry kids. EDFK in Southington donates its funds to 3 organizations: VAMOS!, Kids Cafe in Hartford, CT and Fundacion Sor Dominga Bocca in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Cemanhuac Spanish Language School is a fantastic Spanish language immersion program. They have helped VAMOS! for years, providing space, vitamins, transportation and friendship.
Charlie Goff is an educator, tour leader, story teller, translator and interpreter of Mexican life and culture. He is a founder of the Cemanahuac Educational Community, a Spanish language school in Cuernavaca, Mexico. He writes Charlie’s Digs, a weekly column in The News, Mexico’s largest English language newspaper.
The Monks of Weston Priory run a Faith & Hospitality Experience in a Latin American Context, A 10 day retreat with the Benedictine Sisters in Cuernavaca.
The Sisters of Providence have supported our Medical and Health Services for years. Because of their support, the poor in our colonias receive medical, dental and mental health services free of charge.
