The colonia of Morelos, in the municipality of Jiutepec,  is another  area of extreme poverty that surrounds Cuernavaca.  Here the local government allows VAMOS! to provide our programming at a  community center.  There is a lot of outdoor space there and VAMOS! sets up our tables and chairs three days a week, creating outdoor classrooms for our children and mothers.  It is an education in itself to watch our staff set up in every shady area on the property.  They quickly and expertly set up tables and chairs with the help of moms and some students.  Next the cooks set up their kitchen and start to prepare the nutritious meal that will be served.  Finally whiteboards and flip charts, cartons of school supplies, toothbrushes and fabrics and craft supplies for the mothers are carried to each station.  It is quite an operation to set up and break down every day.  When finished we have a full range of pre-school and elementary classes, and lots of programming for our mothers as well.   Computer classes, music classes and our medical and dental services are also available here on a regular schedule.  At Morelos we have a large and active teen age group as well.
